Recent updates: Our mission releases have been rescinded. Our status has been restored to "In-field" as per the efforts of Elder Rich Call, the dental advisor to the missionary committee. Our temporary assignment continues as the original calling to serve as a dental advisor to the Central America Area, albeit a little more remotely now via teledentistry technology.
There are 19 missions in the Central America Area which Elder Fisher and I will divide between us. We will work closely with the mission nurses and mission presidents to help them determine the appropriate treatments for missionary dental diseases and/or injury and help arrange referrals to local providers for appropriate treatments.
